Calling all queer country dancers, fans of queer country culture and rural dykes, gays and trans folks alike! The Hitching Post invites queers of all ages and all places to submit articles, essays, photos, interviews, letters, step sheets, personal ads, cartoons, art and news of queers in country dance.

EXAMPLES OF SUBMISSIONS

  • An interview with or profile of a community member
  • An essay or article about a topic relating to queer country dance culture or rural queer issues ~ whatever that means to you!
  • A photo essay about the gorgeous humans in your community
  • A step sheet from your favorite choreographer
  • Any ephemera from your personal archives (old event flyers, old articles, old photos, etc)
  • A saucy letter 
  • A cowboy poem
  • A cartoon or other visual art
